Cerba HealthCare, a leading player in medical diagnosis, has signed an agreement to take over the Yourlab group, a clinical pathology group based in western France. As a result of the move, six subsidiaries, more than 600 employees and 49 sites in Brittany, Val de Loire, Pays de Loire and Normandy should join and strengthen the Cerballiance national network.
This merger will enable the two groups to continue their development in the French clinical pathology market. Cerballiance, the Cerba HealthCare Group's national network of clinical pathology laboratories, already serves more than 80,000 patients every day at more than 600 sites throughout France and La Réunion. In recent months, several operations have already expanded Cerballiance's territorial coverage, particularly in New Aquitaine, Normandy, the Paris region but also New Caledonia.
Through its six subsidiaries (Biolaris, Biomedilam, C+BIO, LBR, Orn Biomedi Cal, Tonnellerie), the Yourlab Group completes this deployment on the French territory in the departments of Calvados, Maine et Loire, Mayenne, Loire Atlantique, Ille et Vilaine, Eure et Loir, Sarthe, and Orne.
Catherine Courboillet, President of Cerba HealthCare, comments: "Yourlab not only complements nicely our footprint in the west of France, but also features a dynamic and committed medical team that is close to the needs of patients and physicians. This merger will enable our two groups to continue their development in the clinical pathology market, with the same vision of the business, commitment, and innovation towards patients. We are proud and delighted to welcome the Yourlab teams to Cerba HealthCare”.
Pierre Brunengo, President of Yourlab, adds: "The development of Yourlab has led us to approach a group that is not only in line with our identity and values but also capable of sharing their scientific expertise. Their unparalleled diagnostic offer will enrich our know-how and optimize our skills for the well-being of our patients and the entire medical community. All the teams are looking forward to joining the Cerba HealthCare group in the near future”.
The completion of the transaction is subject to the approval of the French Competition Authority.
